  4. Choose between Standard and HA installation and then click Next.

    • If you choose Standard installation, InfoPrint Manager installs on a standalone Windows Server.

      • If you choose HA primary, InfoPrint Manager installs on the primary node.

      • If you choose HA failover, InfoPrint Manager installs on any of the secondary nodes.

For more information, see InfoPrint Manager: High Availability Guidelines.

  5. Choose which type of installation you want to perform and then click Next.
    • If you choose to try the product, it runs in trial mode for the time period shown (60 days). Before the trial period is over, you must buy the product to continue using it.
    • You can choose to register your product. There are two methods to register: automatically using an existing internet connection or manually using the self-service web site. If these two paths fail, an assisted install path is available (by calling a telephone number).
Note: For automatic registration, make sure that the HTTPS (443) port is open when registering behind a firewall and that your proxy settings are configured correctly.
  6. The license agreement displays. Read the license agreement and then click Accept.
  7. Select the folder where Setup will install the files and then click Next.
  8. If you have chosen to register the product, the Registration screen displays. Choose a method to register and then click Next.
    1. If you chose to register automatically, the Automatic registration screen displays. Complete the required information and then click Next:

The Entitlement ID is only used to identify what you purchased.
      System fingerprint
The system fingerprint is used for generating a license key, and it is automatically generated.

Note: Do not use special characters in the destination directory name.

These features are available to be installed with the InfoPrint Manager Base Server installer:

  11. After you have installed InfoPrint Manager for Windows, the installation program asks to reboot your system. The default is Yes because InfoPrint Manager will not function properly until the system is rebooted. When you click OK or press Enter, your system reboots, and the InfoPrint Manager service will start automatically.
  12. If you are installing optional features, see Installing optional features on an InfoPrint Manager system for instructions.
  13. Install the most recent service update if appropriate. Refer to Accessing the latest information and fixes for information and instructions about where to find product updates. Then follow the installation steps in Installing service updates for InfoPrint Manager clients.
Note: If you receive Run-Time Error 5006, go to: http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=Q111253 for resolution. This is a known Macrovision InstallScript problem.
