Limitations and constraints

These limitations and constraints apply to the SAP R/3 printer administration module:

  • The pdsap command supports only en_US character sets.
  • The pdsap command automatically converts flags, parameters, and some values to uppercase.
  • The pdsap command can only communicate with SAP systems connected to existing InfoPrint Manager SAP callback daemons.

SAP R/3 printer administration module does not support the following:

  • Administration of output devices with device classes different from Standard Printer.
  • Administration of printers with access methods different from method E.
  • Setting log and trace flags.
  • Setting of authorization groups for printers.
  • Creation of ROMS and LOMS with output type "Fax".
  • Setting the option "transmit print data stream via RFC to the OMS" for an RFC-enabled LOMS.
