All rights reserved. 2.0 ABOUT THIS CD This CD contains the InfoPrint Productivity Tracker SNMP Collector code and publications. 2.1 Publications InfoPrint Productivity Tracker: Installing and Configuring The document for each supported language is in the Publications folder on this CD. Installation instructions for the SNMP Collector is found in the InfoPrint Productivity Tracker installation guide, in a section is provided in PDF format. To open it, open the file in a PDF viewer such as Adobe Reader. NOTE: For the most recent version of the documentation, visit the Ricoh Production Print Information Center at http://info.rpp.ricoh-usa.com/help/index.jsp. 3.0 INSTALLING THE INFOPRINT PRODUCTIVITY TRACKER SNMP COLLECTOR To start the SNMP Collector installer on the CD: 1. Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive. If the Windows system is configured to autorun CDs, the installer starts automatically. 2. If the installer does not start automatically, open Windows Explorer, navigate to the setup.exe file on the CD-ROM for the SNMP collector, and double-click it. Make sure all the SNMP Collector requirements are met according to the InfoPrint Productivity Tracker installation guide mentioned above. 3. Follow the prompts to install the SNMP Collector according to the configuration settings in the InfoPrint Productivity Tracker installation guide. 4.0 TIPS AND USAGE NOTES The InfoPrint Productivity Tracker SNMP Collector service will become active after installation. The configuration is automatically set, so no further action is required to configure or start the SNMP Collector server. 5.0 KNOWN ISSUES These are known issues with InfoPrint Productivity Tracker SNMP Collector servers: VPN clients and Multicast messages in the SNMP environment Disable all VPN clients on the computer to be used as the SNMP collector, and the Productivity Tracker (PT) server. If a VPN client is running on the server or SNMP collectors, you may not be able to install the SNMP collector and SNMP data may be corrupt and/or missing. SNMP Collector Firewall settings Firewall settings on the PT server and other computers with installed SNMP collectors must permit communications via the specified IP addresses used within the SNMP environment. 6.0 NOTICES AND TRADEMARKS 6.1 Notices This information was developed for products and services offered in the U.S.A.
