Measurement Settings
Use this section to configure the Measurement Settings in the desktop application.
Settings | Description |

Length Unit | Select mm or inch for the paper length along the sub scan direction of an original or color chart.
If you change the unit of measurement from inch to mm, the Quick Color Adjustment and Color Sample Matching values are rounded to the second decimal place. Default: mm |
Quick Color Adjustment | In Quick Color Adjustment, specify the paper size of the chart you want to scan. Enter the paper length along
the sub scan direction. The minimum paper length is 210 mm (8.3 inches). The maximum
paper length is 487.7 mm (19.2 inches). Default: Custom Size, 420 mm |
Color Sample Matching | In Color Sample Matching, specify the standard size of the document you want to scan. Select the paper size,
or enter the paper length along the sub scan direction. The minimum paper length is
210 mm (8.3 inches). The maximum paper length is 487.7 mm (19.2 inches).
Use the Color Sample Matching dialog to change these values for each document you want to scan. Default: A3 - Short Edge Feed |
M Factor (Start Color Optimization) | Select the lighting conditions when you scan a chart using Quick Color Adjustment.
If the color verification standard you are using is Japan Color Digital, select M0. If the color verification standard you are using is ISO12647-8 Coated V3, GRACoL 2013, Simple Gray Scale 2013, or ISO12647-8 Coated V3, select M1. Color Sample Matching uses M2, regardless of this setting. Default: M0 |
