Adjusting the Color Matching Settings

Before executing color matching, you can adjust the Settings used for the color matching process.
To adjust the color matching Settings:
  1. In the Color Matching section, select the Settings button.
    The Settings dialog is displayed.
  2. To select a numeric value for the Color Tolerance, use the slider by dragging the control from one end of the bar to another. Increasing the value might improve the output color on the areas with similar colors. However, increasing the value too much might reduce the Color Sample Matching accuracy.

    Minimum: 1

    Maximum: 6

    Default: 1

The selected value is displayed next to the slider.
  3. To select a numeric value for the Edge Detection, use the slider by dragging the control from one end of the bar to another. The lower the value, the lower the number of edges identified and the lower the amount of image data to be processed. Therefore, increasing the Edge Detection value might improve the color of images with a grainy texture. However, increasing the value too much might reduce the Color Sample Matching accuracy.

    Minimum: 1

    Maximum: 6

    Default: 1

The selected value is displayed next to the slider.
  4. Select the Color Distance from the list to specify the calculation method for color differences. ΔE00 is preferred for improved accuracy in reflecting human color perception, while ΔE76 is simpler but less precise.
    Default: ΔE76
  5. Select OK.
After changing the Settings, select Start Processing.
