Analyzing the Color Deviation Details

Select the ΔE Map Details button to display the color deviation map and analyze the color deviation details. You can also hide various color matching differences, allowing you to focus on the remaining differences between the hard copy sample and the color matching result.
To analyze the color deviation details:
  1. In the Color Sample Matching dialog, select ΔE Map Details.
    The ΔE Map Details dialog is displayed.
  2. In the ΔE Map Details dialog, use the image on the right to view the color difference between the hard copy sample and the color matching result. The ΔE color difference is displayed as a gradient ranging from black to white. The whiter the areas, the larger the ΔE color difference.
  3. To mask specific color matching differences, select one or more options under Masking Color Matching Differences.
    1. To hide all the color matching differences simultaneously in the image on the right, select the Select All checkbox.
    2. To hide the color differences in the detected edges, select Edges.
    3. To hide the image areas where there is a large color deviation, select Large Color Deviation.
        Note:
      • To change the level of color deviation, adjust the Color Tolerance value in the Settings dialog.
    4. To hide the blank areas of the paper, select Paper White Point.
    5. When you finish analyzing the color deviation details, select Close.
