Printing the Color Verification Chart from the Web Application

You can print the color verification chart from the Color Charts page of the web application if the hot folder option is enabled on the DFE. For details on enabling the hot folder option, see the user documentation of your DFE.
To print the color verification chart:
  1. On the printer DFE or using a print management application, create a hot folder for sending the color verification chart to print. For details, see the user documentation of your DFE or print management application.
  2. Configure the hot folder with the required print settings for the color verification chart. For details, see Printing the Color Verification Chart Using Fiery, Printing the Color Verification Chart Using TotalFlow Print Server with a Cut Sheet Printer, Printing the Color Verification Chart Using the RICOH Pro VC80000, or Printing Color Verification Charts.
  3. In the web application, select the hot folder path used for sending the color verification chart to print.
    1. If adding a new color chart, open the Add Color Chart page.
    2. If you want to print an existing color chart, open the Edit Color Chart page of that chart.
    3. On the Add Color Chart or Edit Color Chart page, expand the Hot Folders for Printing Color Charts section.
    4. In the Verification Chart Path field, select the hot folder path for printing the color verification chart.
  4. In the web application, go to the Color Charts page.
  5. Select the checkboxes next to one or more color charts you want to print.
  6. To print the color verification chart of the selected chart rows, select the Print Color Verification ChartPrint Color Verification Chart button.
      Note:
    • The Print Color Verification ChartPrint Color Verification Chart button is disabled in the following cases:
      • No color chart is selected.
      • At least one of the selected color charts does not have a hot folder path specified for the color verification chart.
      • A print operation is already in progress for one of the selected color verification charts.
  7. Alternatively, you can print the color charts by selecting the Print button available within the expanded row.
    1. Expand the row containing the color chart you want to print.
    2. To print the color verification chart, select the Print button for the Color Verification Chart.
    3. After sending a color verification chart to print, the date, time, and status of the print request is displayed next to the Print button.
      • In Progress indicates that the request for printing one of the color charts was submitted and is being processed.
      • Sent indicates that the color chart was sent to the selected hot folder and is queued for printing.
      • Invalid Hot Folder Path indicates that an error occurred because the specified hot folder path is invalid, inaccessible, or does not exist.
      • Network Connection Error indicates that an error occurred because the application was unable to establish a network connection required for accessing the hot folder.
        Note:
      • After you submit a print request for one or more color charts, all the buttons for printing color charts are disabled until all the color charts sent to print reach the specified hot folders.
Once the color verification charts are sent to print, they can be viewed in the printer queue. The file name format of a color verification chart sent to the printer is verification-chart-<ID>-<year><month><day>-<hour><minute><second>.pdf. <ID> is the Verification Chart ID and <year><month><day>-<hour><minute><second> is the time stamp when the file is sent to print.
