Color Verification Limits
Use this section to specify the default values for verifying the colors of an output
printed with the ICC profile created using the Quick Color Adjustment function. You can select default values for the following color verification standards:
Japan Color Digital, ISO 12647-8 Coated V3, ISO 12647-8:2021 Coated V3, GRACoL 2013, and Simple Gray Scale 2013.
To select the default values for one of the standards, select the standard to expand its associated section. Enter average and maximum values from 0.00 to 9.99 for verifying the color deviation. The lower the values, the more accurate the color verification. If the measured maximum values are equal to or above the error limit, the color chart does not pass the verification.
Default ΔE00 Color Verification Limits used with Japan Color Digital and ISO 12647-8 Coated V3:
- Average: 2.50
- Maximum: 6.50
Default ΔE00 Color Verification Limits used with GRACoL 2013:
- Average: 2.50
- Maximum: 5.00
Default values used with Simple Gray Scale 2013:
- ΔCh on Weighted CMY Scale:
- Average: 1.50
- Maximum: 3.00
- ΔL on Weighted CMY Scale:
- Average: 1.50
- Maximum: 3.00
- ΔL on Weighted K Scale:
- Average: 1.50
- Maximum: 3.00
Default values used with ISO 12647-8:2021 Coated V3:
- Average ΔE00 Without Boundary Patches: 2.50
- ΔE00 of 95th Percentile Without Boundary Patches: 5.00
- Average ΔCh of Composite Gray: 2.50
- Maximum ΔCh of Composite Gray: 4.00
- ΔE00 of Paper Whiteness: 3.00
