Scan History

To access the Scan History page, go to the Configuration page and select Manage Scan History. On the Scan History page, you can customize the retention period of the scan history files and the maximum disk space that the files can use. You can also set a time of the day when the application can clean up the history based on the selected options.

Days

Specifies the maximum number of days for which you want to keep the history files. The history files are the scan files generated on the previous days. The current day is not part of the scan history and cannot be removed. You can enter from 1 through 365 days. The default is 30 days.

For example, if you enter 1 day, the application retains the history files generated yesterday. Therefore, all the scan files generated on the previous days are deleted at the selected Cleanup Time. If you enter 2 days, the application retains the history files generated yesterday and the day before yesterday. All the other history files are deleted.

Maximum GB

Specifies the maximum number of gigabytes that the application can use for retaining scan files. You can enter a value from 1 through 100. The default is 100 GB.

Used GB

Specifies the disk space in gigabytes that the application already uses for storing scan files. This field is read only.

Time

Specifies the time when the application evaluates the scan history and deletes scan files if necessary, based on the options selected on the Scan History page. The default is 12:00 AM.

To reset all the values on the Scan History page to default, select the Reset button.

To reload the previously saved values and to update the Used GB field, select the Refresh button.

To manually trigger the removal of all the scan files based on the options selected on the Scan History page, use the Clean Up button.

At the selected time or when you select Clean Up, the application evaluates whether the scan files are older than the selected retention period. Then, the application removes all the scan files older than the selected period. Afterwards, the application evaluates the size of the scan files and removes the older files until the used space no longer exceeds the maximum retention space.
