ICC Profile Import

When you scan a color chart, the application creates an ICC profile once the scanning process is complete. To use the created ICC profile, import it to a DFE.

The ICC profile can be imported automatically or manually to the DFE, depending on the DFE Type or Printer Manufacturer that you select when you add or edit a printer on the Printers page. For information about adding a printer, see Printers.

In this section:

  1. Importing the ICC Profile Automatically
    If the name of the DFE that you are using is included in the DFE Type list, the application imports the ICC profile to the printer automatically. If using a Fiery DFE, an output ICC profile is associated with a calibration name set on that DFE.
  2. Importing the ICC Profile Manually
    Use this section if the ICC profile is saved locally after using the Quick Color Adjustment function. The ICC profile is saved locally if you set the Printer Manufacturer or the DFE Type field to Other.
