Removing Jammed Paper

Open the front door of the scanner, and then follow these instructions to remove the jammed paper. The instructions are also printed inside the front door of the scanner.

    Note:
  • The instructions for removing jammed paper are also printed inside the front door of the scanner.

To remove jammed paper:

  1. Open the front door of the scanner.Opening the front door of the scanner
  2. Push the scan unit to move it toward the back of the scanner (1).Pushing the scan unit toward the back of the scanner and turning the levers to the right
  3. Move the scan unit toward the back so that it is behind the black paper transport member (2).
  4. Turn the right lever to the right from its lower position (3).
  5. Turn the left lever to the right from its upper or lower position (3).
  6. Check that both levers are set in the positions as shown in the diagram (3).
  7. Remove the paper from either the paper source side or the paper output side (4).Removing the paper and turning the levers downwards
      Note:
    • If you cannot pull out the paper in either direction, pull it out from inside the scanner toward the front.
  8. Turn the right lever downward (5).
  9. Turn the left lever downward (5).
  10. Close the front door.
