Security

Security of the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster includes determining who can access the web part of the application and what functions they can do. Authorized users can access the web application using a registered account and a valid password. The level of access and the actions the users can do depend on the associated user role.

Optionally, you can also limit the IP addresses and host names that are allowed to remotely access the web application.

In this section:

  1. Users and Roles
    Everyone who works with the web part of the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster has a user account that is assigned to a role. Roles define the level of access that users have and the actions they can do.
  2. Managing Passwords
    Users must have a RICOH Auto Color Adjuster user name and password to access and do actions in the web part of the application.
  3. Limiting the Remote Access to the Web Application
    Optionally, you can limit the IP addresses and host names that are allowed to remotely access the web application. The default is to allow all the IP addresses and host names in a network to access the web application.
