Web Application Errors

This section lists errors that can occur while you are working with the web application. It also describes their most likely causes and possible solutions.
Status Cause Resolution
When you enter the IP address and port number in the web browser, the 404 error is thrown or nothing is displayed. The entered IP address and port number are not correct. Enter the correct IP address and port number. Enter a colon after the IP address, then enter the port number.

You can check the IP address and port number in the Server Settings that is displayed when you select the SettingsSettings button button in the application dialog. When using a client computer, ask the system administrator for the correct IP address and port number.

You cannot access the server from the client computer.
  • Make sure that the computer and the server are connected to the network.
  • Restart the operating system on the computer and the server.

If the error remains displayed, contact your service representative.

Authentication failed. The server is not yet initialized. If the problem persists, contact your service representative. The required RICOH Auto Color Adjuster Web Server service is stopped. Make sure that the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster Web Server service is running.

If it is stopped, start it.

  1. In the Windows search box on the taskbar, type services, then select Services from the menu.

    You should see the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster Web Server listed in the Services dialog.

  2. Right-click the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster Web Server and select Start.

Authentication failed. Incorrect username or password. Either the user name or the password or both were typed incorrectly.
  • Check if the CapsLock button on the keyboard is on or off. If CapsLock is off, the input shows up in lowercase. If CapsLock is on, the input shows up in uppercase.
  • If the error persists, ask the Administrator to reset your password. For details about resetting the password, see Changing the Password for Another User.
The web application page is not displayed completely or correctly. Old data remains in the cache of the web browser. On the web application page, press the F5 key while holding the Shift key. The page is reloaded.
A graph is not displayed on the Management Console page.
  • There are no values recorded for the selected Color Deviation settings.
  • No printer or paper is selected on the Management Console page.
  • If you do not have the exact time frame when the measurements were made, select a wider date range.
  • If you do not have the exact Location where the measurements were made, select All.
  • Make sure you select at least one checkbox for printers and papers.
