Starting secondary servers on Linux

Ricoh ProcessDirector secondary servers are configured to start automatically when the Linux system on which they are installed starts. However, you might need to start the secondary server without restarting the entire operating system.

To start a Ricoh ProcessDirector secondary server on a Linux system:

  1. Log in to the Linux system as the Ricoh ProcessDirector system user (aiw1 is the default).
  2. Access the command line.
  3. Enter this command:
    • startaiw
  4. If the startaiw command fails, enter these commands:
    • stopaiw
    • startaiw
The Ricoh ProcessDirector secondary server starts and connects to the primary server.
