Updating a primary computer host name or IP address
When the host name or IP address of a primary computer changes, you must update Ricoh ProcessDirector to recognize the change.
- Log in to the primary computer as an authorized user.
- Start a command prompt as an administrator. Even if you are logged on to your system as an administrator, you must start the command prompt by selecting Run as administrator from the right-click menu.
- Enter this command in a command prompt window. For oldhostname, use the old host name without the domain name:
C:\Program Files\Ricoh\ProcessDirector\ bin \ changeHostname.bat oldhostnameThe changeHostname utility shuts down Ricoh ProcessDirector and updates the files listed here. The path name might be different if you used an install location that is not the default.
