Using Variables in Text Marks

Text marks can contain static text, job variables, or a combination of both.
    Note:
  • The values for the variables are extracted from the current job data.

  • Not all variables and fields work with all documents.

  • Custom fields and data sources are not currently supported for general use.

To add variables in a text mark:

  1. On the Marks Profile screen, create a mark profile and add a text mark in the Press Paper, Pages, or Gutters tab.
For more information, see Creating and Editing Mark Profiles.
  2. Select the text mark.
  3. In the Text Mark section, click the Variables button next to the Text field.
