Configuring Internet Explorer
To access TotalFlow Production Manager with Internet Explorer, you must configure the browser.
Note: This procedure shows how to configure Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1. There might
be minor differences in other releases of Windows or Internet Explorer.
To configure Internet Explorer:
- Click
, the tools icon, and then Internet Options.
You see the Internet Options dialog. It is open to the General tab.
- Under Browsing history, click Settings.
You see the Temporary Internet Files dialog.
- Under Check for newer versions of stored pages, select Every time I visit the webpage and click OK.
- To change the language that TotalFlow Production Manager uses for the user interface text and most of the messages that it issues:
- Click Languages at the bottom of the General tab.
You see the Language Preference dialog.
- Click Set Language Preference.
The Change your language preferences dialog opens in Windows Control Panel.
- Click Add Language.
- Select your language and click Add.TotalFlow Production Manager supports these languages:
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Italian
- Japanese
- Spanish
Note: If more than one locale is available for a language, for example, English (United Kingdom) [en-gb] and English (United States) [en-us], it does not matter which locale you choose.If you set the browser language to a language that is not supported, TotalFlow Production Manager defaults to English.
- Click Languages at the bottom of the General tab.
- In the Internet Options dialog, click Security.
You see the Security tab:
- Select the Internet section and click Custom level.
You see the Security Settings – Internet Zone dialog.
- Make sure that Enable is selected for Allow META REFRESH in the Miscellaneous section.
- Make sure that Enable is selected for Active scripting in the Scripting section.
- Click OK.
- In the Internet Options dialog, click OK.Important: If your operating system is Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2012, you disable the built-in Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration, to allow access for TotalFlow Production Manager web application.
This procedure shows how to disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration on Windows Server 2008 R2.
- Open the Server Manager tool.
- In the Security Information section, click Configure IE ESC.
- In the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration window that opens, click Off under Administrators and Users.
- Click OK.
