Managing the password of the ipm1 default user

To change the ipm1 password:

1. In the Windows Computer Management console, select System Tools ⇒ Local Users and Groups ⇒ Users.
2. Right-click ipm1 and select Set Password....
   Note:
   • You can also change the ipm1 password by logging on as ipm1, pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and selecting Change a password.

To change the password for each InfoPrint Manager service from the Windows Services console:

1. In the Windows Services console, right-click each InfoPrint Manager service, and select Stop.
2. Right-click each InfoPrint Manager service and select Properties.
3. Click Log On, select the This account checkbox, set the new ipm1 password, and click Apply.
4. Right-click each InfoPrint Manager service and select Start.
   Important:
   • Make sure that the first service whose password you change is InfoPrint Manager Licensing Service.

To change the password for the InfoPrint Manager services from the InfoPrint Manager Management Console:

1. In the InfoPrint Manager Management Console, click File ⇒ Stop Server to stop each running server from the list.
2. Click Edit ⇒ Service Account/Domain to open the Service Account/Domain dialog.
3. Enter the ipm1 password you just created in the Password field and click OK.
4. Click File ⇒ Start Server.
