Printing from existing host applications

There are several ways that you can submit jobs from host applications to InfoPrint Manager:

• Host PSF sends jobs to a DPF Receiver.
• Download for z/OS sends jobs to an MVS Download Receiver.
• The LPR client sends jobs to the LPD utility on the InfoPrint Manager server.
• If you use Infoprint Server on z/OS, you can submit jobs on the host for spooling to a remote InfoPrint Manager server. The IP PrintWay component of Infoprint Server, which contains an LPR, and the InfoPrint Manager LPD must be running. (If you run the InfoPrint Manager Server on a Windows system, the InfoPrint Manager LPD replaces the Microsoft LPD for Windows.) When you submit a job on the host, you can specify advanced InfoPrint options, such as form definitions and page definitions. The remote print operator controls printing after InfoPrint Manager receives the job.
