Installing AFP Visual Environment

You must install AFP Visual Environment on the system where you plan to run the AFP Visual Environment user interface to enhance sample AFP files, and on the production system.
To install AFP Visual Environment:
  1. Download AVEInstaller_6.6.x.jar.
  2. To start the installation:
    1. On a Windows operating system, log in as an administrator and double-click AVEInstaller_6.6.x.jar.
    2. On an AIX or Linux operating system, open the command line and enter java -jar AVEInstaller_6.6.x.jar.
      You can also run the installation program in the console mode.
  3. The installer starts and displays the Introduction window. Click Next.
  4. Review and accept the license agreement. Click Next.
  5. Select the installation type. Click Next.
  6. Choose a directory to install AFP Visual Environment in. The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\RICOH\AFP Visual Environment on Windows and opt/RICOH/ave on Linux and AIX.
  7. Review the pre-installation summary and click Install to start installing.
