User exit search order

When ACIF loads a specified user exit program during initialization, the operating system determines the search order and method that is used to locate these load modules.

  • For the AIX operating system, ACIF will search the path specified by the LIBPATH environment variable, if the LIBPATH environment variable is not set ACIF will search the path specified by the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.

  • For the Linux operating system, ACIF will search the path specified by the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.

  • For the Windows operating system, ACIF will search the path specified by the PATH environment variable.

If the INPCCSID and OUTCCSID parameters are used with an exit, the PATH environment variable must include the directory that contains the ICU libraries that are included with InfoPrint Manager or RICOH ProcessDirector.
