Printing from existing host applications

There are several ways you can submit jobs from host applications to InfoPrint Manager:

• Download for z/OS sends jobs to an MVS Download Receiver.
• The LPR client sends jobs to the LPD utility on the InfoPrint Manager server.
• If you use InfoPrint Server on z/OS, you can submit jobs on the host for spooling to a remote InfoPrint Manager server. The IP PrintWay component of InfoPrint Server, which contains an LPR, and the InfoPrint Manager LPD must be running. When you submit a job on the host, you can specify advanced InfoPrint options, such as form definitions and page definitions. The remote print operator controls printing after InfoPrint Manager receives the job.
