Preparing to install InfoPrint Manager software

Before you perform any of the steps documented in this publication, you must understand the general features and requirements of InfoPrint Manager for Windows. You can find this information in RICOH InfoPrint Manager for Windows: Planning Guide. Consult this publication before proceeding with your installation.

You must do all network configuration before installing and configuring InfoPrint Manager. See Configuring TCP/IP for procedures for TCP/IP configuration.

Note: When you use InfoPrint Manager for Windows to drive one or more high-speed printers, performance can be improved if you install it in a separate partition, on a separate hard drive, or with a SCSI drive.
