Spooling jobs to be printed later

The payroll department of a large company generates pay checks for 10,000 employees every two weeks. The checks are created on a host system in San Jose, and need to be printed at the print center in Oakland. To save network bandwidth on those days, the checks are downloaded at night. However, for security reasons, they can't be printed until the print operators arrive in the morning. The print administrator decides to use DPF to download the IPDS print jobs and resources used in them to InfoPrint Manager, where they are held until the print operators arrive. Because the resources used need to be kept secure (signatures), Save resources is turned off at the host receiver. Resources are deleted after the jobs print.
