RICOH Auto Color Adjuster Components
To operate the scanner, use the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster that is installed on the computer. The RICOH Auto Color Adjuster has two components: the desktop application and the web application.
You can access the desktop application only from the computer where the application is installed.
You can access the web application using a web browser from the computer where the application is installed or from any other computer in the same network.
This section describes the functions and settings of the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster, and the procedure for starting each function and accessing the application settings.
How to Access Functions and Settings | Function/Settings | Overview |
---|---|---|
Select the corresponding button in the web application | Configuration | Manage Locations, Printers, Paper Catalog, Color Charts and configure values for Quick Color Adjustment. Also, use the Configuration page to manage accounts for users who can access the web application remotely from a web browser. |
Management Console | Verify the color adjustment results of the printer based on various color verification standards. You can check when you executed the Quick Color Adjustment function and how the colors changed over time for each printer or paper. | |
Select the function or the settings button in the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster dialog of the desktop application | Quick Color Adjustment | Scan a color chart and generate a profile automatically. Import the created profile as the output (printer) profile on the DFE, and use the profile when printing a document. Use this function at a regular interval to avoid the changes in the printer condition or printing environment to affect the colors on the output sheets. |
Color Sample Matching | Generate a profile based on the printed color sample that you scanned using the Color Sample Matching function. Import the created profile as the CMYK input (source) profile on the DFE, and use the profile when printing a document. You can use the generated profile to reproduce the colors of the color sample on the printed page as closely as possible. | |
Colorimetry | Use this function to create custom color charts or use the standard ones to measure the colors output by your printer. You can save the measurement results on the local drive or store them as custom color spaces. | |
Settings | Specify various settings related to the scanner and to the application. |
