Identifies the person who submitted the job or the program that initiated the job.

Input Synonym

You can use the synonym originator.

Allowed Values

You can enter a text string up to 255 characters long that contains the name, login ID, login ID and node of the person submitting the job, the name of the program initiating the job.

Default Value

  • If you are logged in with your LDAP or Active Directory credentials, the job-originator attribute value is set to the LDAP or Active Directory user ID.

  • If you are logged in with your local account, the job-originator attribute value is set to username@node of the user that submitted the job.

  • If you are logged in using federated authentication, the job-originator attribute value is set to the federated authentication user ID.

Usage Guidelines

  • You can use this attribute to identify yourself by name or to identify the program that initiated the job.
