Why use Manager MVS Download Receiver?

When you have data on an MVS system that you want to print on an InfoPrint-managed printer device, you can use the Download for z/OS or AFP Download Plus feature of PSF for z/OS and the InfoPrint Manager MVS Download Receiver daemon. The PSF for z/OS features and the InfoPrint daemon:

  • Provide a high-speed data transfer utility for high-volume jobs.
  • Restart from a checkpoint if something interrupts the data transmission.
  • Do not require separate spool management and queueing on MVS system because of seamless integration with System Display and Search Facility (SDSF).
