Network options, AIX settings, and environment variables that affect performance
You use the network options command, no, to set the network attributes. To print a list of all configurable attributes and their current values, specify no -a. This can be used to tune an AIX machine for different network attachments.
For information about the no command, see:
- Optimizing AIX 7.1 Performance Tuning, which is available at
- IBM eServer pSeries Information Center, which is available at
For information about the semaphores, see Interprocess communication limits, which is available at
Use the maxmbuf command to limit the amount of memory used by the communication subsystem. If maxmbuf is set to 0, the value of thewall (no -o thewall) determines the maximum amount of memory to be used by the communication subsystem.
