Working with AFP Visual Environment Control Files
The AFP2PDF Plus transform uses the AFP Visual Environment (AVE) program to manipulate
the AFP before it is converted to PDF. AVE is a JAVA-based program that allows you
to manipulate AFP files in a variety of ways.

The AFP Input Parser works with AVE to run AFP filter programs. AFP filter programs are small JAVA programs, designed to do one thing and do it well. AFP filter programs can perform such operations as redacting text, deleting blank pages, or creating watermarks. Everything works together in a stream environment for optimum performance. Data is streamed from one program to the next and then sent to the PDF Output Driver.
