Identifies other actual destinations that end users can use if this actual destination is unavailable. The administrator can use this attribute to identify one or more backup destinations for an actual destination, so that when an actual destination is unavailable, the end user can use this information to locate an alternative destination to submit a job to.

You can enter a text string of up to 255 characters that contains the names of actual destinations that can be backup destinations.

Usage Guidelines

  • When the automated-backup-destination-enabled attribute is set to false, this attribute identifies one or more backup destinations for the actual destination, so that when the actual destination is unavailable, the end user can use this information to locate an alternative destination to submit a job to.
  • When the automated-backup-destination-enabled attribute is set to true, this attribute identifies one or more backup actual destinations for the actual destination, so that when the actual destination is unavailable, InfoPrint Manager can automatically use this attribute's value to reroute the job.
  • Make sure that the logical-destination-assigned attribute is set on the actual destinations set to be the backup destinations.
  • Make sure that at least one of the backup destinations is not in the needs-key-operator state.
  • To successfully reroute the jobs when the automated-backup-destination-enabled attribute is set to true, the backup-destination attribute values should point to similarly configured actual destinations.
