Usage Guidelines

  • With AIX by default, BSD assumes the generated command is a rembak command.
  • With Linux by default, BSD assumes the generated command is an InfoPrint Manager LPR command.
  • With Windows by default, BSD assumes the generated command is a lpr command.
  • Some printer devices, for example, the 4317 Network Printer 17, InfoPrint 20 Printer, and InfoPrint 32 Printer, do not support the BSD -Z flag. If you receive this error message when you try to print on one of these printers:
0782-597 The value of -Z attribute is not in the ring list
    specified in the limits field
delete the job-name:-o-Z value from the attribute-map attribute.
