Migration tools and tasks

The InfoPrint SMIT administrator's interface menu selections for migration tools allow you to:

  • Create a minimum InfoPrint configuration.

    This task creates a logical destination (logical printer), queue, and actual destination (physical printer) in either an existing InfoPrint server or a new InfoPrint server.

  • Migrate an existing AIX virtual printer.

    This task converts an existing AIX virtual printer into an InfoPrint actual destination with the same characteristics as the virtual printer. Both the virtual printer you are converting and the actual destination you are creating must reside on the same AIX system.
