Enabling Interrupt Message Pages

Follow this procedure to enable a printer to produce Interrupt message pages:
  1. Open the InfoPrint Manager Administration GUI.
  2. Right-click the printer that you want to enable and select Properties. The properties notebook will open for that printer.
  3. Click Auxiliary/Separator Sheets.
  4. Click Yes next to Interrupt message page enabled.
  5. If you want to use a form definition that is different than the default, enter the name of the definition in the Interrupt message page form definition entry field.
  6. If you want to use page marks, click Yes next to Interrupt message page edge marks. The Interrupt message page edge marks setting prints a mark on the edge of the forms so that the mark is visible in a stack of paper when viewed from the side. Continuous forms printers that are folding the forms will print the mark where the fold in the pages occurs.
Interrupt Message Pages have a default message page form definition that is already assigned and is designed to print on all paper sizes. This form definition is named F1MG0110, and has these default settings:
  • One copy
  • No overlay
  • Use paper from bin 1
There is also a new form definition named F1MGIMP that is identical to the default form definition, except that it specifies offset stacking.

You can create your own form definition, but be aware that doing so might alter the ability of your form definition to print on all paper sizes. To create a form definition, you must use the Page Printer Formatting Aid (PPFA) feature. See the InfoPrint Page Printer Formatting Aid: User's Guide and Reference, S550-0801 for more information.

If you are creating your own form definition and wish to use offset stacking, you can use PPFA and specify JOG YES in the form definition.
