Color Chart Types

When creating a chart on the Color Charts page, a unique Profiling Chart ID and Color Verification ID are assigned to the new chart. For generating the ICC profile, use the PDF that is defined for the printer during the color chart configuration.
There are two types of charts:
Color chart for creating an ICC profile
Print the color chart using the recommended settings without any output ICC profile conversion.
Color chart for color verification
Use this chart to determine if the result of color adjustment conforms to the color verification standard. Print the color chart for verifying the color adjustment using:
  • the same CMYK input source as the one selected in the Color Verification field on the Color Charts page
  • the ICC profile generated with Quick Color Adjustment
The following information is included in the printed color chart:Printed Color Chart
1. Color code
The color code is unique for each color chart. Based on the color code, the scanner can identify the printer and paper linked with that chart defined on the Color Charts page. Then, the scanner uses this information to generate and display color verification results.
2. Color chart
A group of CMYK color boxes used to create an ICC profile or verify the color adjustment quality.
    Note:
  • The corresponding Profiling Chart ID or Color Verification ID is printed at the bottom of the color chart. Check that the ID on the printed chart matches the ID assigned to your color chart on the Color Charts page.
