Printing the Chart for Color Verification with TotalFlow Print Server

This section describes the settings used for printing the chart for color verification using a TotalFlow Print Server DFE.

To print the chart for color verification with TotalFlow Print Server:

  1. Put the paper in the paper tray.
      Note:
    • The paper in the tray must match the paper type associated with the Paper Name selected in the Add/Edit Chart dialog. To display the Add/Edit Chart dialog, go to the Initial Settings page.
  2. In the left pane of the Job Properties dialog of a TotalFlow Print Server DFE, select Paper.
  3. To select a predefined paper, expand the Paper list, select Paper catalog, then select a paper from the list.
  4. To define a paper manually, select the paper Type, Size, and Weight.
  5. In the left pane, select Color, then select the CMYK input profile associated with the Color Verification value selected in the Add/Edit Chart dialog.
      Note:
    • If JC Digital, Wedge is the selected Color Verification, select Japan Color 2011 Coated as the CMYK input profile.
    • If ISO12647-8 Coated V3 is the selected Color Verification, select PSO Coated v3 as the CMYK input profile.
    • If Verify GRACoL 2013, Wedge is the selected Color Verification, select GRACoL2013 CRPC6 as the CMYK input profile.
  6. Set the Reference profile to None.
  7. Set the Printer profile, front to the output profile created during the color adjustment process.
  8. Set Rendering intent to Relative Colorimetric.
  9. If the RIP type is Heidelberg APPE, set the Blackpoint compensation to Off.
  10. If the RIP type is Heidelberg APPE, set Preserve Pure Black to Off.
  11. Set Black (text/line art) to Normal.
  12. If the RIP type is SCREEN APPE, Kodak APPE, or CPSI, set Black/Gray reproduction to Off.
  13. In the left pane, select Print Quality, then select the same Halftone screening option as the one you used when you created the output profile selected in Initial Settings.
  14. If the RIP type is SCREEN APPE, set the CMYK overprint sequence to After color conversion.
