Printing the Chart for Color Verification with Fiery

This section describes the settings used for printing the chart for color verification using a Fiery DFE.

To print the chart for color verification with Fiery:

  1. Put the paper in the paper tray.
      Note:
    • The paper in the tray must match the type of the paper displayed for that chart on the Color Charts page. To display the Color Charts dialog, go to the Configuration page.
  2. Start Fiery Command WorkStation.
  3. Select the print job, then select Properties.
    The Job Properties dialog is displayed.
  4. In the left pane of the FieryJob Properties dialog, select MEDIA.
  5. Select Paper Catalog or manually select the Paper Type, Paper Weight, and Paper Size.
  6. In the left pane, select LAYOUT, and set Duplex to Off.
  7. In the left pane, select COLOR, then select the Output profile generated as a result of the color adjustment process.
  8. Select the CMYK source associated with the Color Verification value displayed on the Color Charts page.
      Note:
    • If Japan Color Digital is the Color Verification value displayed on the Color Charts page, select Japan Color 2011 Coated as the CMYK source.
    • If ISO 12647-8 Coated V3 is the Color Verification value displayed on the Color Charts page, select PSO Coated FOGRA51 (EFI) as the CMYK source.
    • If GRACoL 2013 is the Color Verification value displayed on the Color Charts page, select GRACoL2013 CRPC6 (EFI) as the CMYK source.
  9. Set the CMYK rendering intent to Relative Colorimetric.
  10. Clear the Black compensation point checkbox.
  11. Set Print CMYK gray using black only to Off.
  12. Set Black text and graphics to Normal.
  13. In the left pane, select IMAGE, then select the same Halftone mode as the one you used when you created the ICC profile.
