Logs, Backup and Restore

Use this section to back up your application settings, including the settings configured on the Configuration page, and to restore your settings. You can also use this section to collect logs for troubleshooting.

Settings Description
Save Logs If an error occurs, collect the log files before contacting your service representative. To collect the log files, select Save Logs.
Back Up Creates a local backup of your application settings. Use this option if you replace the computer that is connected to the scanner.

It is recommended to also create a backup file when you change the application settings or the options on the Configuration page.

To specify the location where you want to store the backup file, select Back Up.

Restore Restores your application settings. Use this option if you replaced the computer that is connected to the scanner or if you want to revert to your backed-up settings. To find and select the backup file, select Browse. Then select Restore.
