Configuring the Desktop Application Settings

Specify the machine name, length of the scan area on the paper, and other settings, and activate RICOH Auto Color Adjuster in the License Management section.
To configure the desktop application settings:
  1. If the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster application is not displayed, double-click the RICOH desktop icon (RICOH icon) to start it.
  2. In the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster dialog, select the Settings button (Settings button).
  3. In the left pane, select Machine Settings.
  4. In the Machine Name field, enter the name of the machine.
    The machine name is used in Initial Settings.
  5. If a mismatch error message is displayed for the Calibration Model File, select Browse, then select the correct file.
      Note:
    • The Calibration Model File is stored in the model folder on the USB memory that is provided with the machine. Copy the file from the USB memory device to the computer, and then select the file.
  6. Select Save.
  7. In the left pane, select Scan Settings and specify each setting.
    1. Length Unit: Select the unit to specify the paper length along the sub scan direction of an original/chart.
    2. Quick Color Adjustment, Color Sample Matching: Specify the paper length to scan for each application.
    3. M Factor (Start Color Optimization): Specify the lighting condition to scan a color chart in Quick Color Adjustment. Select M0 when using JC Digital, Wedge as the color verification standard. Specify M1 when using ISO12647-8 Coated V3, Verify GRACoL 2013, Wedge, Simple Gray Scale, Wedge 2013, or ISO12647-8 Coated V3.
    4. Select Save.
  8. Make sure you have Internet access.
  9. Select License Management Connect.
  10. Enter a name in System name.System name
  11. If you need to specify the proxy settings to connect to the Internet, configure Proxy settings.Proxy settings
    1. Select the I am going to use a proxy server. checkbox.
    2. Enter the Proxy server IP address or hostname.
    3. Enter the Proxy server port and select TEST PROXY.
  12. Select GENERATE CODE.
    The sign-in page is displayed.
  13. Enter the Email and Password for the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster, and then select SIGN IN. For more information, see Registering a Password for Connecting to the Cloud for License Management.
  14. When operating more than one machine together, specify a tenant, and select Generate one-time code.
  15. Select Copy CLOSE.
    The one-time code is copied to the clipboard.
  16. Paste the one-time code that you copied into the One Time Code input box, and then select SUBMIT.
  17. Repeat steps from 13 through 15 when using more than one machine together.
  18. When the Success message is displayed, select Close SAVE CHANGES.
    The configuration of the desktop application settings required during the installation process is now complete. Proceed to specify the following settings as necessary.
  19. To update the license information, go to the desktop application settings and select License Management Apply. For more information, see License Management.
