Configuring the Desktop Application Settings

Specify the scanner name, the paper length in the sub scan direction, and other settings, then use the License Management section to activate the application.
To configure the desktop application settings:
  1. If the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster application is not displayed, double-click the RICOHRICOH icon desktop icon to start it.
  2. In the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster dialog, select the SettingsSettings button button.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings dialog, select Scanner Settings.
  4. In the Scanner Name field, enter the name of the scanner.
    The scanner name is used on the Add Printer and Edit Printer pages that you can access from the Configuration page.
  5. If an error message related to the Calibration Model File is displayed, select the calibration model file that belongs to your scanner.
    1. Copy the calibration model file from the model folder of the USB memory device provided with the scanner to your computer.
    2. In the Calibration Model File section, select Browse.
    3. Go to the calibration model file copied to your computer and select it.
    4. Select Open.
  6. Select Save.
  7. In the left pane of the Settings dialog, select Measurement Settings and configure each setting.
    1. Length Unit: Select the unit of measurement for the paper length in the sub scan direction of an original or chart.
    2. Quick Color Adjustment: Specify the paper size and length of the chart that you want to scan using Quick Color Adjustment.
    3. Color Sample Matching: Specify the paper size and length of the original you want to scan using Color Sample Matching.
    4. M Factor (Start Color Optimization): Select the lighting condition for scanning a color chart using the Quick Color Adjustment function. If the Color Verification is set to Japan Color Digital, select M0. If the Color Verification is set to ISO12647-8 Coated V3, GRACoL 2013, Simple Gray Scale 2013, or ISO12647-8 Coated V3, select M1.
    5. Select Save.
  8. Make sure you have access to the Internet.
  9. Select License Management Connect.
  10. Enter a name in the System name field.System name
  11. If you need to specify the proxy settings to connect to the Internet, configure the Proxy settings.Proxy settings
    1. Select the I am going to use a proxy server. checkbox.
    2. Enter the Proxy server IP address or hostname.
    3. Enter the Proxy server port and select TEST PROXY.
  12. Select GENERATE CODE.
    The sign-in page is displayed.
  13. Enter the Email and Password for the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster, then select SIGN IN. For more information, see Setting a Password for License Management.
  14. If operating more than one scanner from computers in the same network, specify a tenant, and select Generate one-time code.
  15. Select Copy CLOSE.
    The one-time code is copied to the clipboard.
  16. Paste the one-time code that you copied into the One Time Code input box, then select SUBMIT.
  17. If using more than one scanner, repeat the steps from through .
  18. When the Success message is displayed, select Close SAVE CHANGES.
    The configuration of the desktop application settings required during the installation process is now complete. Proceed to specify the following settings as necessary.
