Installing the Fiery Command WorkStation

Install the Fiery Command WorkStation on the computer connected to the scanner.

    Note:
  • The antivirus software might interrupt the installation. If so, unplug the network cable or set the wireless LAN to airplane mode to disconnect the computer from the network temporarily. Then disable the antivirus software and try again.

To install the Fiery Command WorkStation:

  1. Log in to the computer using an account with administrator privileges, and then close all applications.
  2. Run the downloaded installer.
    The file is decompressed, and CWSPackage6_8.exe is saved.
  3. Execute CWSPackage6_8.exe.
    The installation wizard is displayed.
  4. Select Next.Fiery InstallShield Wizard
  5. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then select Next.
  6. Specify the destination folder for the installation and the default display language, then select Next.Selecting the destination folder and the display language for Fiery
      Note:
    • Set the default language to English or Japanese. If you select another language, the automatic import of the ICC profiles created with the Quick Color Adjustment function fails.
    • You can also change the Fiery Command WorkStation language to English or Japanese after the installation.
  7. Check if there is enough free disk space for the installation, then select Next.
  8. In the dialog for selecting whether to create a shortcut in Startup, select Yes.
  9. Select Install.
    The installation starts.
  10. When the installation is complete, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now.. Then select Finish.
    After restarting, the Fiery Command WorkStation dialog is displayed.
  11. Close the Fiery Command WorkStation dialog.
