Networking and connecting
These topics describe problems with networking and connectivity.
In this section:
- Host name does not match the IP addressIf you see a message that begins: The host name in /aiw/aiw1/config/servers.cfg does not match the IP address of the system, the host name or IP address of the primary computer has changed. You must update RICOH ProcessDirector to recognize the change.
- Network connection dropsIf the network connection between the primary computer and an application/secondary computer drops because of network problems, the server automatically tries to reconnect with the primary server every 30 seconds, until it is able to connect or until the server stops.
- SNMP connection with a printer cannot be establishedIf RICOH ProcessDirector cannot connect to a printer using SNMP, check these settings.
- Application server does not connectIf you have an application server that does not connect and that shows as disconnected at the primary server, you can check certain configuration files on both the primary computer and the Windows system.
- Reports database connection issuesIf RICOH ProcessDirector or the business intelligence tool cannot connect to the Reports database, consider the following troubleshooting suggestions.
