If using Fiery, the printer you are using is installed with a system of a version that is not guaranteed to operate properly. Check the version of Fiery Command WorkStation that is installed on the computer.
The Fiery DFE Password is incorrect. Check that the password on the DFE matches the password entered on the Edit Printer page of the web application.

To specify the correct DFE Password for the printer on which you are using the color chart, go to the Printers page and edit the DFE Password to match the password set on the DFE.

If the error persists, contact your service representative.

The Save password option is enabled for the Fiery Command WorkStation server in use. Use the Fiery Command WorkStation dialog to log out of the server. When logging back in, do not select the Save password checkbox.
The DFE Host entered on the Configuration page, in the Printers section, might be incorrect. While using one of the supported DFE types, the DFE Host that is displayed on the Color Charts page is incorrect. Check whether the DFE Host is correctly displayed on the Color Charts page:
  1. Go to the printer defined on the Printers page for your color chart.
  2. Edit the DFE Host of that printer to match the DFE IP address or host name set on Fiery.
The Fiery Calibration Name entered on the Configuration page, in the Paper Catalog section, might be incorrect. The Fiery Calibration Name is not specified correctly on the Add Paper or Edit Paper page of the web application. Find the calibration name set on the DFE, then make sure it matches the Fiery Calibration Name entered on the Add Paper or Edit Paper page of the web application.

To find the calibration name set on the DFE:

Failed to calculate the color deviation. Try again.Call service if this error message is displayed repeatedly. An incorrect color chart is used. Check that the correct color chart is printed. To find the correct number of the color chart:
  1. On the Configuration page, select Manage Color Charts.
  2. On the Color Charts page, find the color chart you want to use on your printer.
  3. Check that the number displayed in the Profiling Chart ID column matches the number printed at the bottom of your scanned color chart.
The color chart is not scanned correctly. Place the color chart correctly on the scanner.
A malfunction occurred temporarily, and the chart was not scanned correctly.
  • Turn off the power of the scanner, and then turn it back on.
  • Exit Quick Color Adjustment, Color Sample Matching, Colorimetry, and the Settings dialog if they are running, and then start them again from the application menu.
  • Restart Windows.
  • Start the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster.
Color verification has failed. Try again.Call service if this error message is displayed repeatedly. The computer might have lost the network connectivity.

Failed to scan the color chart. See the troubleshooting information related to the following error message: Failed to scan.
Adjustment will be executed even though the deviation between pages exceeds the warning limit. The chart was printed on a printer that requires color adjustment. Configure the color adjustment settings of your printer. For details about adjusting the printer settings, see the user manual of your printer.
The limit value is not specified properly. On the Configuration page, select Manage Default Settings. Then increase the warning limit specified for the deviation between pages. For example, a ΔE00 increase up to 2.0 might not be a visible color difference, but the color deviation might no longer trigger a warning message.

If the error persists, contact your service representative.

Failed to create the profile because the color deviation between pages exceeds the error limit value defined on the Default Settings page. To adjust the image quality, configure the adjustment settings of your printer. If using a RICOH printer, execute the following adjustment: [02 Machine: Image Quality] > [0201 Execute Image Quality Adjustment] > [01: Adjust Image Density]. If using a non-RICOH printer, configure the adjustment settings of your printer to reduce the uneven print density between pages. If the color deviation between pages still exceeds the limit value, use the Default Settings page to change the error limit value of the color deviation between pages. Then, try again. The chart was printed on a printer that requires color adjustment. Follow the instructions in the message to configure the color adjustment settings of your printer. For details about configuring the printer settings, see the user manual of your printer.

To adjust the image quality, configure the adjustment settings of your printer. If using a RICOH printer, execute the following adjustment: [02 Machine: Image Quality] > [0201 Execute Image Quality Adjustment] > [02: Density Difference: With Fd]. To reduce the color deviation, you can also use the [10 Density Difference Printing: Across Feed] option. At least one of the maximum densities of C, M, Y, or K is below the warning limit. The chart was printed on a printer that requires color adjustment. Use the adjustment function of the printer to adjust the toner density of the color or colors that do not meet the warning limits. The warning limits are defined on the Default Settings page. If you are using a RICOH printer, adjust the maximum image density. If you are using a non-RICOH printer, adjust the print density.

For details about adjusting the printer settings, see the user manual of your printer.

The limit value is not specified properly. On the Configuration page, select Manage Default Settings. Then lower the limit values for the color or colors that do not meet the warning limits.

If the error persists, contact your service representative.

Failed to create the profile because the density of the following value(s) is below the error limit value(s) defined on the Default Settings page: C, M, Y, K. To obtain appropriate print density, configure the adjustment settings of your printer. If using a RICOH printer, execute the following adjustment: [02 Machine: Image Quality] > [0201 Execute Image Quality Adjustment] > [01: Adjust Image Density]. If the print density is still low after executing this adjustment, go to [02 Machine: Image Quality] > [0202 Maximum Image Density] and increase the density of any value that is below the limit. If using a non-RICOH printer, configure the adjustment settings of your printer so that the density of all the values exceeds the limit. If the print density is still low, use the Default Settings page to increase the density of any value that is below the limit. Then try again. The chart was printed on a printer that requires color adjustment.
    Note:
  • If this error occurs, the error message lists only those values that are below the error limits. If all the four values, meaning C, M, Y, and K, are below the limits, then all of them are mentioned in the error message.

The paper guides are not set in the correct positions. Align the paper guides with the left and right edges of the paper, leaving no gaps between the paper guides and the paper.
The patches are not printed in the center of the page, therefore the left, top, right, and bottom margins are not equal.
  • Print the patches in the center of the page. The difference between the left, top, right, and bottom margins should be less than or equal to 2 mm (0.08 inches). The same difference should be maintained along the entire left, top, right, and bottom margins.
  • Rotate the color chart 180 degrees in the input tray and scan it again.
    Note:
  • If any other message is displayed, follow the instructions in the message.
