Errors in Receive phase

If print files are submitted using FTP or SCP and are placed in the Error state as soon as they arrive in the Receive phase, they might have been submitted incorrectly.
Jobs that are submitted using FTP or SCP must be submitted using a user ID on the primary computer that is a member of the RICOH ProcessDirector group (aiwgrp1 is the default). If they are submitted using an ID that is not a member of that group, RICOH ProcessDirector does not have the appropriate permissions for the files and cannot work with them. As a result, the job goes into the Error state and cannot be printed. The only solution is to delete the file from the input device and resubmit it using an appropriate user ID.

To fix errors in the Receive phase:

  1. In the Input Devices portlet, right-click the input device that the input file was submitted to and select Show Files.
  2. In the list of input files, right-click the input file that is in error state and select Delete.
    You see a confirmation message.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Click CLOSE.
  5. Resubmit the job using FTP or SCP, this time using the RICOH ProcessDirector system user ID (aiw1 is the default) or another user ID that is a member of the RICOH ProcessDirector group.
