Startup fails to connect to DB2 database with message SQL30082N

If the RICOH ProcessDirector cannot connect to the DB2 database when you run the startaiw command, it might have the wrong password. This can happen if you change the password for the DB2 instance user and forget to update RICOH ProcessDirector to use the new password.
If this is the problem, you see these messages:

SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001

WARNING: Failed to connect to database due to an invalid password. Run updateInstPassword.sh to update the password ProcessDirector uses to connect to its database.

  1. To change the password in RICOH ProcessDirector, enter this command:
    /opt/IBM/aiw/V1.0/bin/updateInstPassword.sh
    Note: There is another copy of updateInstPassword in the linux/db directory on the RICOH ProcessDirector product CD.
