Jobs Are in Printing State for Too Long

If some jobs remain in printing state for too long, there are several possible reasons.
  • Several jobs are submitted to a printer on which the JDF Printer language is activated with the default settings.

When multiple jobs are assigned to the same printer, all jobs might be kept in Held state, although they appear to be in Printing state.

Check if the jobs are held on the printer. See the printer's documentation for releasing the jobs and set up the printer to directly print the jobs instead of putting them in Held state.

  • Jobs with a large number of copies or jobs that contain both text and images are submitted through TotalFlow PM PDF Print Driver.

When this is the case, wait until the printing process is complete.
