Verifying Colors

You can verify the result of the color adjustment on the printer.

To verify colors:

  1. Use the Fiery Command WorkStation or the TotalFlow Print Server to print the color chart for verification.
    1. Print the document using the required print settings.
        Important:
      • Do not select duplex print.
      • To obtain a stable color output, print 10 copies of the chart. Use the copy of the chart that is printed last.
    2. To avoid importing the color chart as a print job, store the PDF on the printer.
    3. Do not save the RIP-processed data after the process is complete.

  4. To start the desktop application, double-click the RICOH[RICOH] icon icon.
  5. In the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster dialog, select Quick Color Adjustment.
  6. In the Quick Color Adjustment dialog, select Scan.
    The Scan Chart dialog is displayed.
  7. In the Scan Chart dialog, select Start Scan.
    The chart for color verification is scanned, and then the scan result is evaluated.
  8. Check the result in the Color Verification Results section.
  9. If Failed is displayed under Result, repeat the verification process.
    1. Select the DetailsDetails button to see the color verification details.
    2. Make sure that the print settings are correct and the paper matches the selected standard.
    3. Execute Quick Color Adjustment again.
  10. When the process is complete, select Exit.
    The color verification of the color adjustment result is complete.

  • You can check the change in color over time in Management Console.
