Verifying Colors
You can evaluate the result of the color adjustment, and check the status of the specified
printer.
- Note:
- You can confirm the name of the PDF file for the color chart that is assigned to each combination of a printer and paper on which to perform color adjustment in .
To verify colors:
- Use the Fiery Command WorkStation or the TotalFlow Print Server to print the chart for verification.
- Select the printer on which you want to verify colors.
- Print the document using the required print settings.
- When using Fiery, register the print job in the job archive to omit importing the chart.
- When using the TotalFlow Print Server, keep the job as a saved job to omit importing the chart.
- Do not save the RIP-processed data after the process is complete.
- Take the last copy of the printed chart.
- Place the color chart for verification on the machine, with the print side facing
up.
- To start the desktop application, double-click the RICOH icon (
).
- In the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster dialog, select Quick Color Adjustment.
- In the Quick Color Adjustment dialog, select Scan.The Scan Chart dialog is displayed.
- In the The Scan Chart dialog is displayed. dialog, select Start Scan.The machine scans the chart for color verification and then evaluates the scan result.
- Check the result in the Color Verification Results section.
- If NG is displayed under Result, repeat the verification process.
- Select the Details button to see the Post-judgement details.
- Make sure that the print settings are correct and the paper matches the selected standard.
- Execute Quick Color Adjustment again.
- When the process is complete, select Exit.The color verification of the color adjustment result is complete.
