Matching Colors and Creating a Profile
Match colors to the image displayed in the Before Color Matching section, and then create a profile.
To match colors and create a profile:
- Check the profile that is specified in the print setting when printing the document data.
- Specify the profile that you checked in step 1 of CMYK source in Reprint After Color Matching.
- Check the rendering intent that was specified in the print setting when printing the document data.
- Specify CMYK Rendering in Reprint After Color Matching.
- Select Execute Color Matching.The color matching process starts, and a profile is created. Wait for the process to finish. When the color matching process is complete, the processed image is displayed in Reprint After Color Matching.
- Check the average color deviation (simulated) after color matching is applied.
- Check the color deviation on the color deviation map.
- Select Show ΔE Map.The color deviation map is displayed, and the button label changes to Hide ΔE Map.
- Check the deviation of colors.
- Select Hide ΔE Map.
- Select Show ΔE Map.
- Optional: Save the files containing the original data and the scanned golden sample data.
- To save the files containing the original data and the scanned golden sample, select Save on the upper-left side of the Color Sample Matching dialog.
- If the folder where you want to save the original data and the golden sample data is not yet created, select New Folder in the Select Folder dialog. Then enter the name of the new folder.
- Select the folder where you want to save the original data and the golden sample data
and click Select Folder.The application saves the original data and the golden sample data to the selected folder.
- To save the profile, select Save on the lower-right side of the Color Sample Matching dialog.
- Select Exit.The color matching process is complete, and the profile is saved. If you saved the golden sample data, load it next time you need to match colors and create a profile based on the same golden sample.
