Configuration of the Colorimetry Dialog

Select Colorimetry on your computer to display the Colorimetry dialog. Use this dialog to register, manage, or scan a chart for colorimetry.

List of charts for colorimetry

1. Add
Register a chart for colorimetry.
2. Delete
Deletes the selected chart for colorimetry.
3. Scan
Select Scan to display the Measurement and Saving Settings dialog. Use this dialog to specify the measurement conditions, save location of the measurement result, and other settings. Then select OK to scan the chart for colorimetry on the machine.
  • In the File Name field, enter the name under which to save the measurement result.
      Note:
    • You cannot specify the name when more than one chart for colorimetry is specified.
    • Names of (chart name)+(mmdd) are assigned to the files automatically.
  • Select Browse, and specify the destination folder to save the files.
  • Select whether you want to save the custom verification file. If you select the Save Custom Verification File checkbox, the saved file is displayed in the Add/Edit Chart dialog of the web application, in the Color Space list.
      Note:
    • The checkbox is active only if you select one of the following predefined charts: Fogra Media Wedge V3.0, Idealliance Control Wedge 2013, or Japan Color Control Strip.
  • Select the Lighting Condition from M0(A), M1(D50), and M2(A+UV cut).
      Note:
    • If you select the Save Custom Verification File checkbox, the application changes the Lighting Condition value to the value required for the selected chart. The Lighting Condition field becomes inactive.
  • In the Color Space for Measurement field, select the color space for measurement from Lab, LCh, XYZ, Spectroscopy, Density (Status T), and Density (Status E).
      Note:
    • If you select the Save Custom Verification File checkbox, the application changes the Color Space for Measurement value to the value required for the selected chart. The Color Space for Measurement field becomes inactive.
  • In the Saving File Format field, select the file format in which to save the measurement result from IT8 (*.it8) and CGATS.txt (*.txt).
4. Preview ([Information] button)
Displays the preview of the selected chart.
5. List of Charts for Colorimetry
Displays the list of charts for colorimetry.
