Device Configuration

You can operate the machine, register a profile to the DFE, and perform other operations using a computer that is connected to the machine via USB. Use a computer that is connected to the machine in a network environment shown below.
Network environment required for using the machine

1 Machine
2 A computer that is connected to the machine via two USB cables provided with the machine. You can use all functions including Quick Color Adjustment, Color Sample Matching, Colorimetry, and Management Console.
3 A printer and its DFE: Fiery color controller, TotalFlow Print Server, or another printer controlling device.
4 A network computer

To manage the colors of the printer, use Management Console.

    It is recommended to use the computer that is connected to the machine with the environment described below. If you connect the computer in a non-recommended environment, outside parties might view your login ID, password, and other information.
