Starting or restarting
These topics describe what to do if RICOH ProcessDirector or a related application does not start or automatically restart.

- Resetting the systemIf you enter the
startaiw
command on the primary computer and RICOH ProcessDirector does not start running as usual, you might need to reset the system. Resetting the system makes sure that all components are in a known state and lets them start up correctly. - Web server not restarting automaticallyThe Web server restarts automatically if a problem causes it to fail. The settings in the
WebserverChecker.cfg
file determine how many times the server restarts. If the Web server restart is not working as expected, check the settings in theWebserverChecker.cfg
file. - Startup fails to connect to DB2 database with message SQL30082NIf the RICOH ProcessDirector cannot connect to the DB2 database when you run the startaiw command, it might have the wrong password. This can happen if you change the password for the DB2 instance user and forget to update RICOH ProcessDirector to use the new password.
