Fiery virtual printer
Specifies the name of the EFI Fiery virtual printer as defined on the printer object.
Format:
- Default
- Not set
- Database name
- Job.VirtualPrinter
Usage notes:
- This property applies only to Ricoh PDF printers that have EFI Fiery control units.
- Use this property to send a job to a specific virtual printer on a Fiery-driven Ricoh PDF printer. The virtual printer determines which print settings the printer applies to the job.
- Make sure that you set the Data stream to send property to JDF/PDF or PDF via Ricoh API for Fiery. The Fiery virtual printer property is not used when the data stream is set to PostScript.
- Make sure that the value matches a virtual printer name configured on the target printer exactly. If the value does not match a virtual printer configured on the printer, the printer returns an error and the job goes into an error state in RICOH ProcessDirector.
-
You can use RICOH ProcessDirector symbol notation for the name of the virtual printer. For more information about symbol notation and how to use it, refer to the help system.
